Highly respected Gladiator Law Marketing has again won industry accolades – this time taking home two prestigious 2021 Webby Awards for outstanding web design for its client Gilleon Law Firm in San Diego, CA. The top honors are for Sexual Harassment California (design/SEO/launch). The recognition includes:
1. The Webby Award, winner selected by an academy of judges.
2. Webby People’s Voice Winner in Websites and Mobile Sites: Law, voted on by internet fans around the world.
The 25th Annual Webby Awards were announced in May 2021 and include high-profile winners like Oprah Winfrey, Katy Perry and Gordon Ramsay. Other nominees and winners include Amazon, Adobe, CNN, Disney, Google, Hulu, Marvel Entertainment, Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty, Spotify and UNICEF as well as much-talked-about personalities like Cardi B, Brené Brown, Shaquille O’Neal, Jennifer Garner, Rob Gronkowski, Ryan Reynolds, LeBron James and Barack Obama. Gladiator Law Marketing is proud to be among this group.
“The Internet’s Highest Honor.”
The New York Times has called the Webby Award “The Internet’s Highest Honor.” Competition featured exceptional internet talent from countries around the globe.
The newly launched website for which Gladiator Law Marketing received top honors at The Webby Awards is for a law firm representing sexual harassment and assault clients who are willing to stand up and bring legal action against their perpetrators. The website campaign’s theme is Your Words Make Real Change. Designing a new web presence for the law firm posed a unique challenge – balancing gentle compassion for the survivors while showing their strength and resolve and highlighting the law firm’s tough legal approach.
“We knew this was a unique website and we wanted to do justice to the bravery of the firm’s clients,” said Gladiator Law Marketing’s president, co-founder and design lead Lisa Vaughn. “Through innovative design and compelling content, we were able to convey the victory and enduring spirit of clients getting the justice they deserve. I’m incredibly proud of our team at Gladiator.”
There were more than 13,500 entries this year for Webby Awards in various categories. Competition was stiff for the much-coveted recognition.
“We’re excited to be chosen winner of two Webby Awards, and it’s great to be among such a famous and powerful group of winners,” said Gladiator CEO Adam Draper. “Our team works exceptionally hard on every client marketing campaign. It feels good to know that all those long hours and hard work paid off for us and our client. To come out on top when there were so many fantastic entries is exceptionally gratifying.”
Vaughn said the agency’s innovation and custom-crafted approach to web design sets it apart from competitors.
“Gladiator understands that each firm has its own focus and unique brand, and so we design websites that reach and appeal to potential clients accordingly,” said Vaughn. “We have found that custom design results in attracting clients and bringing in more business than a template-based law firm website. While this requires investing significantly more time in partnership with the firm to ensure a customized design, the extra effort pays off.”
Gilleon Law Firm, the client for which Gladiator produced the award-winning website, has helped countless clients win lawsuits in California sexual harassment cases, securing large settlements and favorable jury verdicts.
Vaughn, who collaborated on the Webby-winning entry with designer Ashley Merry, said while other agencies are more concerned about cutting corners — reducing their investment and maximizing customer spending — that approach costs the client more and results in a lower-quality product. Gladiator pursues a fresh and cost-effective design and marketing approach focused on delivering value and successful results.
These two Webby Awards are the most recent in a long list of awards that Gladiator Law Marketing has won for work on behalf of its clients.
The 2020 Davey Gold Award for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development
This award acknowledged the exceptional design of a new website for Hannah Law, a West Texas firm specializing in personal injury. The goal of the design was to offer reassurance and confidence to clients who had been through a traumatic experience.
“The website design conveys an important message to potential clients, letting them know that Hanna Law is an experienced, skilled firm they can count on to be there for them through the entire legal process,” Draper said. “We wanted to create a comfort zone for potential clients and make sure they know that their attorney will always treat them with understanding and respect.”
The 2020 WMA WebAward/Outstanding Achievement in Web Development
This award from the Web Marketing Association (WMA) was also for the Hannah Law website. The award was further recognition that the design developed by Gladiator Law Marketing was exceptional.
“Gladiator spends a lot of time listening to every client,” Vaughn said. “We find out what’s important to them, how they want to brand themselves, and why they’re the best at what they do. Then our team goes to work creating comprehensive messaging, unique design and strategic visibility. That’s what we did with this client, and it was extremely successful.”
The 2020 WMA WebAward/Legal Standard of Excellence
This award from the Web Marketing Association (WMA) celebrated Gladiator’s excellence in the specialized field of legal marketing. Top honors went to Birk Law Firm website, designed by Gladiator.
The WMA determines winners of all awards based on several criteria, including design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copy writing and ease of use. WebAward judges include a select group of industry leaders who strive to raise the standard of excellence of web development on the internet.
The 2019 WMA WebAward
This award from the Web Marketing Association was for Gladiator’s design of the Kaplan Lawyers website in New York City. A personal injury law firm in a highly competitive market, Kaplan Lawyers needed a unique and compelling web presence. Gladiator’s designers also keep their eye on future trends when conceptualizing a new site.
“Changes in the Google search algorithm and mobile design are some recent trends that have shaped our design approach,” Vaughn said. “And we’re already thinking about how 5G networks will transform available design technologies.”
The 2020 W3 Silver Award
This award from W3 for exceptional design was for the Dickson Frohlich law firm website, designed by Gladiator. The law firm, located in Seattle, specializes in real estate, construction, business, probate and family law. The Gladiator team leveraged visuals, interactive technology, a flawless UX and smart SEO to create a smooth and fresh design.
Beyond professional awards, Gladiator Law Marketing continues to receive outstanding reviews and client testimonials. The agency boasts more than 50 years of combined experience from its team of professional marketers. It works with law firms across the United States to create custom-crafted, results-oriented websites.
